9 Months and Your First Hair Cut!
Happy nine months V! You're about to start walking, and you are just loving life. You're so much fun to be around! You had your first hair cut last week...you really have a very stylish baby bob thing going on, but the sides needed a little help. You were great. But you're also seriously teething and your biting on the robe made it look like you were a little terrified :)

Your First Mardi Gras!
You went to your first Mardi Gras last weekend! You did so great! You've had a little bit of separation anxiety when we leave the room. But apparently you're over it :) You had a great time with Honey and BB while we did our own mardi gras thing. And then we took you hang out with our friends (and all of your honorary aunts and uncles) and to watch parades on St. Charles. You had the best time. BB held you up so you could see all the floats, and you loved meeting all of the new people and spending time with your family.
A Day in Your Life
You are having so much fun these days! You love moving around, and you'll probably be walking soon. You keep yourself super busy with your toys and trying to climb on different pieces of furniture. And while it's nice to relax at home part of the day, I really like to get out with you. You LOVE going out. Shocking :) You smile at everyone and have the most fun looking at new things. There are lots of libraries around here with story time throughout the week, so we will go to that at least twice. And then you like going to the JCC for "gym babies" where you can climb around on big mats.
Here's what you're up to these days...
enjoying being on your daddy's shoulders
story time at the san anselmo library
falling asleep while drinking your last bottle of the day (your dad does this sometimes too!)
playing around the house
gym babies

Six Months
I cannot believe you're six months old. I didn't take your six month pictures, because we had them professionally done. They came out great, and I can't wait to post them here. You have changed so much in the last month! Here's what you're up to now (and why you're blowing our minds):
We had to lower your crib to the lowest level because you pull up on it as soon as you're awake. Now you look like a little jail bird when we come in to get you :) You are so busy. That's the best way to describe it. You move from one toy to the next. You are still fascinated by Lola. I think you're scaring her a bit when you crawl towards her. But then she warms up to you again when you have food on your hands that she can lick.
We have loved every minute of this new developmental phase you're in. Every stage is so new and fun, but this has been the best for sure. We are leaving you for the first time this weekend while we celebrate our anniversary in LA. You were not thrilled to hang out with your babysitter today (first time we tried that), so I hope you're on your best behavior for Grandma Beth this weekend!
Love you sweet girl.
You're a bit clingy these days :) But you'll let me get ready for the day...if you can be right beside me.
you put everything in your mouth
seriously, it is crazy that you're able to stand up and balance like this!
You're not thrilled with solid food. You've had sweet potatoes, carrots and a spinach/brown rice mix. You'll get a few spoon-fuls in and you're over it. You're much more interested in the spoon.
On the move
- crawling EVERYWHERE
- pulling up on EVERYTHING
- you can walk with the help of your walking stroller (seriously? yikes)
- eating solids (sort of)

Your First Christmas
Your first Christmas was probably more exciting for your dad and me, but I'm pretty sure you enjoyed seeing your family and playing with your new toys! You are really interested in toys for the first time, and it was really fun to watch you playing with everything.
We spent the first part of the trip in New Orleans. You had so much fun playing with all of your cousins!
