Six Months

I cannot believe you're six months old. I didn't take your six month pictures, because we had them professionally done. They came out great, and I can't wait to post them here. You have changed so much in the last month! Here's what you're up to now (and why you're blowing our minds):

• crawling EVERYWHERE
• pulling up on EVERYTHING
• you can walk with the help of your walking stroller (seriously? yikes)
• eating solids (sort of)

We had to lower your crib to the lowest level because you pull up on it as soon as you're awake. Now you look like a little jail bird when we come in to get you :) You are so busy. That's the best way to describe it. You move from one toy to the next. You are still fascinated by Lola. I think you're scaring her a bit when you crawl towards her. But then she warms up to you again when you have food on your hands that she can lick.

We have loved every minute of this new developmental phase you're in. Every stage is so new and fun, but this has been the best for sure. We are leaving you for the first time this weekend while we celebrate our anniversary in LA. You were not thrilled to hang out with your babysitter today (first time we tried that), so I hope you're on your best behavior for Grandma Beth this weekend!

 You're not thrilled with solid food. You've had sweet potatoes, carrots and a spinach/brown rice mix. You'll get a few spoon-fuls in and you're over it. You're much more interested in the spoon.

On the move

Your First Christmas

Your first Christmas was probably more exciting for your dad and me, but I'm pretty sure you enjoyed seeing your family and playing with your new toys! You are really interested in toys for the first time, and it was really fun to watch you playing with everything.

We spent the first part of the trip in New Orleans. You had so much fun playing with all of your cousins!

You spent A LOT of time with Aunt Bee! She took care of you while we went out and had some fun!

Meeting Santa

You met Santa last week! Unlike most babies, you were actually smiling more when we weren't in the pictures with you. Everyone at daddy's work loved you and thought you were sooooo cute. Naturally :)

Five Months

Happy 5 months sweet girl! You are well in to your fifth month right now, but you keep me too busy to post on your blog :)

You've had a very eventful month...you went to Napa and to Carmel and you had your first Thanksgiving!

• sitting up all by your self
• sleeping through the night (YAY!)
• loving your jumperoo
• sticking out your tongue
• spitting (yep, it's cute and all, but you'll need to stop that soon!)
• reaching for whatever I'm eating

You're reaching for Lola here. You're OBSESSED. I can't wait until you can really move around so you can play with her. You light up when she comes in the room, and it's so sweet.

You are about to crawl! You get up on all fours and rock back and forth. But then you collapse and start "swimming".

 

 

Visit From MM and Honey & BB

Auntie MM came out to visit while your daddy was in New York for work! She hadn't seen you since you were born! She had so much fun playing with you, and she even made your Halloween costume.

 We took some great pictures with the pumpkins at Larkspur Landing.

 Look how adorable your Strawberry Shortcake costume is!!!! I can't wait to see you in the whole thing.

When Honey and BB were here, we went to Sonoma for some wine tasting. You did great - even on the dune buggy ride up the mountain!

 You're sitting up all by yourself! Such a big girl :)
